How To Help

As part of the Barry Community Foundation, your help to Midwest Miniatures Museum is really part of helping your community as a whole.  Helping exposure to the arts.  Helping tourism to the area.

Public support is very important, or this Museum could not exist.

  • Your check to "BCF - Midwest Miniatures Museum Fund"  is tax deductible.  Contact Barry Community Foundation with your questions, 269-945-0526.
  •  Donations of new exhibits:  Please contact us prior to any action, with photos.  Be advised that the IRS requires donors furnish either receipts or an appraisal for items in excess of $5000.  An acknowledgement will be provided.
  • Donations of unwanted miniatures and miniature building supplies:  These need not be of "museum quality". as some can be sold in the gift shop, some used in displays, and materials can be used in workshops and classes.  Donations of any kind received gratefully, even half-finished projects accepted!  A receipt will be furnished.
  • Join the FRIENDS:  Enjoy annual member benefits for yourself and family for repeat visits, and know you are helping the Museum financially at the same time.  Just print off and mail the form found on the website.
  • Volunteer your time:  Call us with the commitment of time you have in mind and surely there will be a special program or project to interest you.   Fun to be part of the team!

Other small ways to help (no pun intended):

  • Paid admissions (never more than $4.00!)  Tell others about  the Museum, bring your friends and family members.  Especially small children can be inspired and educated.  Changes to the exhibits are constantly underway, so come again.   Aside from new exhibits, we bet you missed some things last time you visited!
  • Purchases from the gift shop such as new expanded kit offerings. for those who want to try their hand at miniature crafting in different mediums.
  • Cash donations:  It is always appreciated when visitors leave a few bills in the donations box as evidence they enjoyed their visit!
